Some repair facilities do not store, nor can get the original components used during manufacturing by the OEM. Thus, they will attempt to find a similar or matching part built and designed by a different vendor. This can create multiple issues with the coil and its operation. While certain specifications may be close to the original component, the tolerances and limitations for the new component may cause more signal and tuning issues, not observed at the bench level testing. For instance, some repair facilities will stack capacitors in an attempt to reach a specific value or use similar values with different case sizes. While the capacitance value is achieved, it is not to the OEM standard during the FDA approval process, which is a significant issue with FDA approved parts.
